The first iVERG conference was held on 28-29 June 2010 in the Social Futures Institute at Teesside University in Middlesbrough, UK.


Keynotes

                            Dr. Andrew Burn is Professor of  Media Education

                            at the Institute of Education, University of

                            London, UK and Associate Director of the Centre

                            for the Study of Children, Youth and Media. He

                            has researched and published work on many

                            aspects of the media, including the textuality of

                            computer games, young people's production of

                            computer games, digital video and animation in

                            schools, and media literacy.

real outcomes


The second iVERG conference was held on 27-28 June 2011 at the Thistle Hotel in Middlesbrough, UK.


Keynote

                            Prof. Sara de Freitas is Professor of  Virtual

                            Environments at the University of Coventry where

                            she leads an applied research team working closely

                            with industry. Sara holds a visiting fellowship at the

                            University of London, is elected Chair of the Lab Group

                            and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
